Today's little bit of Christmas is my biscuit tin, which was full of delicious little Amaretti biscuits when I bought it last year.
Gordon likes those German ginger biscuits, with dark chocolate on (Lidl's), but my little Christmas treat is one or two Amaretti dunked in either lovely strong coffee at breakfast, or lovely red wine in the evening.
Most bizarre weather. Yesterday and this morning, it was so cold that the entire patio, pavements and roads around my house were covered in treacherous black ice. By the time I got home tonight the temperature had gone up to 9c, and I was sweltering in my thick coat and scarf. Very windy and dark though, and I can hear rain lashing on the window now - just in time for me going out with the dog.
G has to get up early to drive to Inverness to work for the next few days, so I hope it doesn't snow overnight.
The car went in for it's service today, and didn't need anything done; well, not immediately anyway. Apparently I've got a "soggy sump", which will need attended to in a month or two. Ah well, that's the two months of free Council Tax accounted for!
