Had a busy day today. Started off with a visit to Morrisons with my friend Jan for the big weekly shop.

Back home and quickly unpacked the shopping. Then I walked down to the village for my chiropodists appointment. It was supposed to be a check up just to see how things were doing and to sign me off. However when the chiropodist was filing the big toenail on my left foot it started hurting and she said there was some infection under the nail. She had to dig around, cut, poke and prod to get it all cleaned out. It was agony but she couldn't stop till she was sure it was free of infection. It was a relief when she had finished. She put a dressing on and said I have to go back and get it re-dressed. Tricky finding an appointment as there were hardly any free slots till the new year. She finally found a free slot with another chiropodist on 15th December.

I then went to the chemist to get my repeat prescription. I noticed a poster saying that they did flu jabs so I decided to get it done. Quick and painless - cost £10.

Then I went to the carpet store in the village to sort out some flooring for the bathroom and cloakroom. I chose some vinyl - took me ages as there was so much choice. Then made arrangements for someone to come and measure up on 15th December. They will come back and fit it on 23rd December. Cutting it fine for Christmas but they are very busy - in fact the next available slot would have been well into the new year.

Got home around 3.30pm and realised I hadn't had anything to eat. Had breakfast/lunch.

Phone rang - it was the bathroom company. The cladding which was out of stock is now in stock. So they will deliver the panels tomorrow and the fitter will come on Thursday to put it up.

So things are progressing. My head is spinning with all the dates and appointments and the calendar for December is looking pretty full.

The Forum challenge word for today is lines. So I have blipped the window in my cloakroom looking all fresh and new - and slightly festive. Took this shot at around 7.45am this morning.
