Empty house

We've spent quite a bit of time yesterday and today getting ready for Santa at the weekend. We've covered in two sides of our reception building with board and painted it white (behind and to the left of the fireplace, normally open railings) set up the fireplace and fire and got the shop Grotto (on the right) ready with a rocking chair for Santa and a wee seat for the kids.

Weeflecky is doing lots of things to help and is coming to do the decorations etc on Friday. Don't tell any kids, but she's our Elf! What would we do without her!

All we need now is good weather, but I have a horrible feeling that we're not going to get it; it's been awful today and worse is to come tomorrow, we're told. Oh well, one does what one can! Fingers crossed!
