Fowlmere Bird Reserve

Had a blip meet with Nicoiseannie who kindly took me the RSPB reserve at Fowlmere. We were both disappointed with the number of birds on the water which in many places was frozen. Two Mallards were trying to get onto the ice but it was so thin they were acting like ice breakers in their attempt. I've wait till Nicoiseannie's published her blip so that I don't copy. We both thought that there were only Black headed gulls and mallards on the water but zooming in on the photos showed what I thing are Widgeon.
