Dancing in the wind

An experiment in producing star effects.

The wind is gusting and increasing in strength, so it is hardly an ideal evening for using light diffraction to produce star effects. (See the commentary in my previous blip for an explanation.)

This shot was taken over 20 seconds at f/25. The branches and their lights are flailing around, the motion naturally producing a blurring effect. In the resultant image it almost looks as if sparks are flying!

Perhaps I should try again in more amenable weather conditions.
