Happy 60th
An epilogue to the five days of black and white!
What a manic day!
We were up early and off to Lincolnshire for a surprise 60th party for Dawn's mum. She had no idea we were coming.
The SatNav decided that we wanted to go via Peterborough today. We had told it we were going to Frampton Marshes on the way there. It's amazing how just changing the destination by a few miles completely changed the route!
It was a pretty good journey and we made Frampton by half past two, so we had an hour or so there. It was stunningly beautiful there, not a cloud in the sky. Chris (the birder) told me to keep an eye put for the Barn Owl, as it has been putting in an appearance at about half past three. Right on queue it flew over us as we were leaving the 360 hide. I managed to get a few shots of it. So I was well pleased we left early to get there for a visit.
We hid the car in Butterwick church car park and dashed in to Aunty Ruth's. Dawn's mum walked in shortly afterwards and was very pleasantly surprised.
We had a lovely meal with Dawn's sister and kids, and Ruth and Sandra, and a good old chin wag.
It was then to bed, as we have to get back to Wales tomorrow as we are seeing War Of The Worlds in Cardiff ... told you it was a bit of a mad weekend!
