at here, clock 3 bright young musical talents : The Sam Kelly Trio, I mentioned them recently when they fronted for Martha Wainwright. I'm going to see them this evening. Who knows if I'll get a photo.
Selling the house is allowing all sorts of pleasures : more culture than I would usually afford. I saw the film of the Old Vic production of Arthur Miller's The Crucible last night. I know the play but that production had a huge impact. The slow opening shots really produced an atmosphere of dread/ hysteria/terror. It seemed to me a good example of the camera enhancing theatre. I came home, went to bed early, but slept fitfully : not a surprise.
