St Thomas' Church Christmas Trees
Back in this Blip, I mentioned that St Thomas' Church hold an annual decorated Christmas tree Festival.
I came back from Cardiff last night and popped into the Church early. Though the Festival finished on Sunday, they are now in the process of taking them down. As I always do some good photos (difficult conditions for your 'average' mobile and compact camera) of the displays each year, for the organisers, the lights left were switched back on specially.
I particularly liked this magnificent 'poppy' tree, which was huge! I also liked how I have got it fitting into the equally magnificent old architecture it is housed in.
I teamed up my old Nikkor D 17-35mm f2.8 (used here) with the Sigma 70-200mm f2.8, on full-frame, all handheld and without flash.
Thanks for all the comments etc on my Cardiff set - really appreciated!
Have a feeling I have a cold coming on, so not too sure how I'll be feeling soon, a bit iffy already.
