In My Studio

I took this just after I finished putting away my paints and brushes after a day of painting in my studio. I'm working on the painting in the foreground. It's still not done but it's getting much closer. The subject is a winter day on Fir Island in Skagit County, WA. The weather was amazing that day. The sun was shining in a line of golden light while snow flurries were happening over the hills behind. We were there looking for snow geese. We did find some but the weather turned out to be even more interesting.
