NCT group soft play

Six out of seven of our soft play group met up on a Sunday morning at a soft play centre in town. We had a nice 6 mile cycle to get there, mostly off road or on back streets, and Matthew particularly liked passing all the cranes near the train station. We had a pretty good time - Masthew was getting much more back to his normal self. This does mean he was still a bit shy of noisy new places with lots of strange people, but he spent ages playing in the big two-seater ride-in car (the sort with a coin slot to make it move - but we only put one 50p in and he enjoyed it turned off just has much). He even shared it nicely with Kiran towards the end, but mostly at this age they still just play near each other rather than with. The big slide was a hit too, and taking footballs up to roll down it perhaps even more so. Really lovely to catch up with the others, they're all so big now! We even got a shot of mums and babies in front of the Christmas tree which I hope Jules will email me a copy of at some point. Just a shame Enily and Fin couldn't be there.

Matthew fell asleep in the bike within 10 minutes of leaving, but 20-25 minutes later woke up again before we got home, and once we did arrive a long quiet feed in the dark of his room didn't get him back off again - so it was a rather long afternoon in the end, and he was fast asleep by 7:30, which pretty much never happens especially when it's mummy doing bedtime. He's clearly lots better in himself but the nappies have got nastier!
