Great Smog Purple Haze
It's the sixtieth anniversary of The Great Smog today. I remember my father driving us to the Lee Valley to buy glasshouses in the fifties and being scared out of my life as the fog/smog was so thick.
After I had bought Christmas doggie toys and treats for the family dogs I went to Harold's Park Farm to get my Christmas tree and then to Epping to my mother's bank. On the way the sun was dipping so I took a detour down a single track at Epping Green.
It is nearly twenty-five miles to the Post Office/BT tower. I well remember taking our children to eat in its revolving restaurant. I remember being very affected by Purple Haze too.
The weird crop is because I've got a big spot on my sensor. :(
