Moonlight

I walked into my kitchen this evening, and wondered why it was so light when none of the lamps in the room were switched on. The answer to my question was the moon, glowing brightly in a wonderfully clear sky. So out came the tripod and the telephoto lens.

I did crop and adjust the contrast in this image slightly so the moon's features were more obvious, but it's certainly better than any of my previous attempts to photograph Earth's satellite!
