Dare I risk it?

I love the Fuji X-T1, but I do find the rear dial 'buttons' very small, and VERY recessed, which makes operating them really difficult. At the recent Imaging Warehouse/Permajet event I was talking to another X-T1 owner (when the conversation started, I did not know he too owned an X-T1). I mentioned that almost my only problem with the camera was pressing these 'buttons', and he showed me his solution - a small piece of 'sugru' on each button. Well, I ordered some, and it arrived today ... now I have to summon up the courage to apply it (though according to the information it should be possible to remove it if I don't like it).
