Close Encounters...

Of the Bishopstone kind! Rob was ill for much of today with a gallstones attack (that January operation can't come soon enough) but we did make it out in the afternoon on an ivy-gathering trip down the lane. The low sun made for some lovely long shadows and atmospheric sunflare. We got loads of gorgeous ivy which is now wound round the banisters, tucked behind paintings, etc. Looks very festive.
