Papeete, Tahiti

Papeete, Tahiti -- Early this morning, we bid our fond farewells to the lovely Mariner, and disembarked in Papeete. Another heavenly spot, with unbelievable blue water, warm breezes, and bright sunshine.

For the next three days, we are staying in a charming overwater bungalow at the Intercontinental Hotel's resort. We can walk out the door from our room onto a private sun deck, climb down a few steps to a swimming platform, and dive directly into the turquoise lagoon! How heavenly.

Here is a picture of the terrible place we have to call "home" for the next several days .... it's a tough job, but somebody has to do it!
