Soho street art
A second day in London. We braved the shops which were full of people seeking that special gift. All I sought in the end was a cold pint and a place of refuge from the crowds.
We headed to the Admiral Duncan which became famous for all the wrong reasons when it was targeted by a nail bomb in 1999. I remember the news reports immediately after the attack, of people wandering around looking for solace and support.
That horrible day clearly cast a long shadow as whilst we were there security staff undertook a check of bags.
Tonight it's time for takeaway and some final changes to the presentation I'll make to a meeting of the Academic Registrars Council Quality Assurance Group tomorrow.
