Burning the candle at both ends

In the morning, it was a candle for the Second Sunday of Advent. Last week it was for Hope, this week for Peace and in weeks to come, Joy and Love.
In the evening, it was the candles on Luke's birthday cake. hope, Peace, Joy and Love are good things to wish for a son on his 17th birthday.
Inbetween, we drove to Thornhill, to visit a friend in hospital and have tea at New Cample Tearoom. Outside, it was trying hard to snow, but only managing to sleet. We sang along to Luke's Christmas music compilation.. "It's looking a lot like Christmas"..well, sort of. Feliz Navidad :-)
