The Last Stand

Shap Beck quarry is extending using old permissions it got back in the 1940s I think. The bridleway went straight ahead until a year or two ago - it's now diverted round lots of fences. Hopefully the lovely stand of beeches will remain even though there's no access to them nowadays.
