Advent activity day no 7: decorate Christmas Tree

The tree is truly decorated. For the past couple of years we have had 2 smaller trees. One in the livingrm and one in the kitchen. Both are now artificial trees as both the UFH in the kitchen and the wood burning stove frazzled any real tree we had. The boys were given access to the tree decorations and one tree - A n I are still painting the kitchen so the other one will have to wait. So most of the decorations are on tree no 1. While being a bit 8, C dropped a shiny bauble n smashed it. D was then being v careful of any shiny ones. He asked me to hang one carefully, I said it was plastic so said he could hang it as it wasn't likely to break. Being D he dropped it on the floor just to check and cheerfully said "you are right mum it is plastic" ...
