Babette's Feast

This was my afternoon's viewing. This quiet film (in Danish, Swedish and French with English subtitles), written by Isak Dinesen and set in the bleak Jutland landscape, is about potential love, parental prohibition, loss, reconciliation to what is and a measure of inner peace found.

It leaves me quiet and thoughtful.
