Knocker!

At last.....we have a door knocker on our back door. It's the door everyone uses and often we don't hear people vainly trying to get our attention. Friends just come in and shout but postmen and delivery people don't. We've had this for a year or two now, it's been languishing on the dresser but now it has been burnished by a blacksmith friend of ours and, at last, R has bolted it to the door. It'll have to come off when the door is oiled but it's in place. I even cleaned the glass on the window in celebration!
