Siraman Ceremony..

Siraman (bathing) is a Javanese ritual ceremony that is done one day before the
bride does the ijab qabul. In the siraman ritual, the operational rule and the
equipments (uborampe) that are used are already definite (maton/pakem) as the
symbols that have meanings.

Siraman usually held at the home of each bride. Usually the time made concurrent yet different location. Siraman ceremony is usually performed by the elders or those who have parents and elders, especially those who already have grandchildren or at least the parents who have children and have the favor of behavior that can be used as an example because it will be asked his/her blessing.

There are several things that must be prepared in a Siraman ceremony. some of these objects include water from Sumber Air, Kembang Setaman, Konyoh Manca Warna and two old coconuts. In addition to these objects, there are still some other object.

We did this Siraman Ceremony in the evening, before this, we were reading Qur'an together. Reading Qur'an one day before the wedding, in order to give a prayer for the bride(my brother) who will pass the ark household. Besides providing knowledge, especially for the bride and those who attended the event in general.

It was long busy fab day for all of us here.
