And ongoing chaos on the dining room table!

I haven't been out again today so no fresh air all weekend - need to tidy up a bit and get out for some now, even if it's only a jaunt round the block.

Our Band Concert tonight so dinner's * early and it'll be late to bed.

* Trying out a Nigel Slater Recipe : 2 little Partridges, buttered with tough-stemmed herbs and wrapped in Orkney rashers (drat: I didn't bring any bacon back from there when I visited in May, but apparently you can get them in Waitrose?!) Then Nigel puts some thick slices of pear in the pan, and I quote: "if only to evoke the unlikely possibility of a partridge in a pear tree" ??!!
