Ivy

I'm always growing some ivy on my balcony. The hardy plant will add some living green even during drab winter months.

It's not necessary to buy the plants. Just put a twig in a glass of water and plant it wherever you like when the roots are beginning to grow. I'm sure a friend or a neighbour won't mind to give you a twig or two.
