Simplicity
Lady Luck was on our side this morning as we breakfasted on toast and marmalade, warm and dry in our favourite café, and watched a sleet shower blow in at an angle of forty five degrees by a chilly west wind.
With the toast and coffee safely downed, the icy shower relented, stopped in its tracks, allowing the sun to appear while we route marched through Princes Street Gardens to buy tickets at the station for forthcoming train journeys to the beating heart of His Lordship's Scotland, namely Perth and Dundee.
He is taking very seriously this new alcohol limit for driving, and obviously intends to enjoy himself with a glass or three at the arranged family meals.
A wander home through the Christmas market with much blipping, but this one of a wet horse chestnut leaf on the path outside the Dower House was the one I liked best for its wet simplicity and colour in the sun.
