Loose ends

Unusually I didn’t have anything planned for today. Thought about going to either Manchester or Glasgow by train to do some Christmas shopping but managed to talk myself out of it. At a bit of a loose end - Santana has an essay to complete for Uni - and I keep thinking of different things I could be doing, and there are lots of things on my 'to do' list but not really getting down to anything. Not like me really.

Good conversation with No 1 son who seemed very perky. Extremely so. Good to hear. Although I think I spoiled the conversation by trying to gauge when he might be arriving with us. I think he is joining us on the 28th but it is still rather vague.

Spoke to my Dad too. He has accepted one of several invitations and is going to my brother for Christmas which is good news.

Got the Christmas decorations out of the garage and have started putting them up. They evoke such lovely memories in the main but a few tears too.
