From where we've come
I set off with my mate early for a wander up to Pinnacles Hut and back today. We lunched at the hut in a short lived patch of blue sky. Then the cloud descended and rain threatened.
Moody large
It stayed mild(ish) but the last hour out was mostly in persistent light rain. This was the last shot before I put my camera into my pack and away from the rain.
A good 6 hours of rough country for my feet. The one I broke is fine. I expect the odd complaint from it but it's fine. The other foot has a neuroma/bursitis and it causes pain and numbness in part of the forefoot and toes.
I had a two left foot orthotics with me today. While there was a degree of discomfort it's definitely better managed than it was. That's good news because if it continues the pleasure of a cortisone injection awaits me and if that doesn't work someone will wave a scalpel at me.
Oh, I did manage to run up and down, and up and down again yesterday morning for 75 mins without any foot drama so that's a good sign too.
I've had a blip catch up:
Thursday's Lunch time seating
Friday's - What's he got?
Saturday's - Waimak sunset
I'm a tad tired so I might just stretch a few complaining bits and head off for a bit of shut eye.
