Big Foot
I walked into town with the girl today and we stopped at the Crammer (pond) to look at the swans. There's a sloping cement bank into the water, which can spell trouble for people going after runaway tartan shopping trolleys on frosty mornings (ask me how I know...). Nobody to help out today, just a cygnet part way through its ugly duckling transformation enjoying the sun on its feathers.
I liked its feet, legs and rings. I thought swans had black feet but these were almost more of a burnished leather colour. I'm intrigued by the rings - some-one must ring all these swans and know what the different rings mean.
