Harrogate
We had an invite to the Inntravel Discovery Day at the International Centre in Harrogate, so used it as an excuse to visit the town.
How have we managed never to get to Harrogate ? We have been near, but never to the town itself. It's a lovely place with a range of shops better than most city centres, lots of good solid victorian buildings, and a wonderful setting provided by the Stray.
This train cake was part of the window display at Betty's tea shop. I had heard of Betty's, and it is certainly popular, with long queues outside all day. There are loads of other good places to eat and drink - we had lunch at Zizi's.
And we've come away with some ideas for holidays next year. We'll think about that a bit more after Christmas.
