1914 Christmas Truce

As part of the commemoration of the First World War, even football played its part.

To remember the 1914 Christmas Truce, most of the professional clubs joined in to produce a photo of the teams and officials posing together.

This was the moment during the Nottingham Forest v Charlton game this afternoon.

Forest played shockingly badly in the first half, but found a bit more momentum after the break and equalised. I was surprised (but very relieved) that they ended with a point for a draw.
