Not Christmas Shopping
We were both in Newcastle today and the Christmas markets were in full swing. But we did not one bit of shopping.
I was at a seminar focusing on the development of the modern short story. Eighteen people, who had all read the three stories we had been given notice of, two very knowledgeable tutors, lots of discussion, lots of ideas for future reading. A fine way to spend three hours on a Saturday. In my opinion anyway.
High Pike had other ideas. He went underground. He may eventually explain, but I wouldn’t hold your breath!
We didn't go to the football either, but someone did.
