Holloway

A long drive up to Mum's on busy Friday roads. I was pleased to arrive and stretch my legs and have a cup of tea. I was talking to Mum about the deep hollowed Hampshire lanes and she showed me this book she has all about Dorset's sunken paths or 'holloways'. Apparently there are different theories as to their origins but those in Hampshire are the most pronounced of such lanes in English counties.
