Skywalk

Busy Saturday in Shanghai!

Met the lovely guide, Vivian, and went along to the Shanhai Planning Department - much better than it sounds. 30 million-ish people in one place takes quite a bit of planning for. Apparently 7 million people a day use the Metro, more on the buses and trams.

Then off to the Silk Factory, a state run place which was fascinating. I've always wondered how they find the end of the silk thread in the cocoon. Introduced to the virtues of silk quilts which was quite convincing.

Went to the Skywalk on the 100th floor of the World Finance Centre, also known as the bottle opener, where this blip was taken. It's 435m above the ground with a glass floor. A new building next door is way higher & will have a hotel on the top floors.?

Lunch of local cuisine then the Yu Garden, which was beautiful. Stopped off for shopping then an evening with the Acrobatics of Pujiang Feeling, an amazing acrobatic show.

Really enjoying Shanghai.
