Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

This bonkers event is organised annually by the Shakespeare Hospice to raise funds. Hundreds of Santas run three miles round Stratford past the theatres , through the gardens by the river, startling the swans, bewildering the tourists and generally causing chaos.
I started near the back of the field so as to have an excuse for finishing near the back. I was overtaken by a few elves but managed to outrun a Yorkshire Terrier on a lead, no bigger than a rat, sporting a fleecy red doggy coat. I think I achieved a personal worst for three miles, but then I've never run in a Santa suit before. I did manage to wear my beard all the way though.
