Buds

I'm going to do a week of buds and blooms in observation of "spring" here in Seattle (even though we had cherry blossoms blooming as early as January!). These are from our neighbors asian pear trees.

Had a DIY day at T&K's (the boys made a floating shelf and the girls wallpapered the inside of 3 drawers). Drove home, tried to squeeze in a bit of studying, skyped with our friend Pierre who lives in Colombia and chilled in front of the tube while eating dinner. I made a cream of broccoli soup from Simply Classic with the broccoli from our CSA box. Really yummy soup - added more broccoli than it called for, less cream and a couple of spoonfuls of mascarpone. Had a zucchini, red pepper and fennel salad to accompany the soup (zucchini & pepper from the CSA box as well). Man I love that service!

Hmmmm - it's bedtime but I'm not tired yet. Damn daylight saving time.
