Yellow for the King
Despite my original flight being cancelled while I was at the airport, I made it to Bangkok before noon. I checked in to my hotel and had lunch. I've really missed Thai food. Cambodian cuisine feels very limited in comparison.
I've mounted a large list of things to do while I'm in a big city. First on the list was to buy a laptop so I visited Bangkok's most famous IT mall, Pantip Plaza. It's a hectic array of shops and stalls selling pretty much everything electronic.
I'd arrived on a public holiday celebrating the King's birthday, so shops were busier than usual. About a third of everyone in the city were wearing yellow t-shirts in support of the King. On the way back to my hotel, I saw this strange Snoopy Christmas display.
