Cygnus columbianus

Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge is host to a large population of wintering Tundra Swans every year. Last week the local Audubon Society held their annual "fly-off", in which they see off the swans for the season, and over 500 people came to celebrate. Luckily for me, some of the swans are still here, and I was able to see them during my visit.
