Christmas Tree assembly

Every year, Katie's headmaster does a huge Christmas tree festival. It's a massive deal. He writes and produces a story, involves the orchestra, a set, lights and adds a huge amount of magic and childhood wonder. The children all made creations for it. Foundation had done a gigantic star of many papier mache balloons. Unfortunately, its not something parents are usually part of though. However, he didn't let himself down this year. His Scottish tale involved a live bag piper, Nessy appearing in the grounds AND about 200 parents passing through the "village" of the story- to the absolute delight of the children. They were lapping it up. And every child was given a heather plant to grow. These are the times Katie's school absolutely shines. He does these things incredibly. She loved it. And the 12' Christmas tree being lit was the pinnacle of the occasion. At the end of school, the head appeared outside school in full formal kilt, as the piper played to the parents. I suspect it will be something she very much looks forward to in coming years.
