High time for a fun dive.

The turtle was hardly bothered by me at all! Probably because this was taken at the Liberty wreck in Tulemben, where he'd be used to seeing heaps of divers in the water, but maybe the fact that I didn't have a tank and lots of bubbles made me more approachable.

Diving the wreck today was a special fun dive to mark the end of our Level 2 SSI freediving course... We're now real, live, official freedivers. Happy days! We definitely noticed how much easier it was to manoeuvre around the wreck at depth with our newly developed breath-holding skills. Our instructor/best-buddy Sam showed us loads of awesome swim-through routes, and as darkness descended we were lucky enough to find a group of huge bumphead parrotfish to dive around with.
