Maui Monarch

it was another quiet day...B had a little mishap and popped a tendon on his foot 2 days ago so we are taking it easy for a couple days! Did get out for a good ride to Paia and the surfing beach on the north shore here on Maui. I got a fun sequence of shots and posted those on Flickr.

But I thought I'd share a shot of the beautiful and colorful Monarch butterflies that are everywhere! We've been here many times, but have never seen these beauties!!

I also captured a cattle egret that was on the median near the road...he barely made it out alive!!
