Christmas Tree!
This is a picture of my Christmas tree. Every year over Thanksgiving break, my mom, dad, and I go to the local tree farm to pick our Christmas tree. We usually look for an eight foot Douglas fir, but this year we found something new that we liked. It was seven feet tall and had the perfect shape to it, but it wasn’t a Douglas fir, it was exotic. One of the tree farm workers told us that this tree had been growing for almost sixteen years. They chopped it down and wrapped it up and we attached it to the top of our car. When we got home, we took it off of the roof of the car and put it on our front porch until we were ready to bring it inside. We cleared a space in the corner of our living room, and brought the tree in. We started decorating it by putting a big star on top. We wrapped beautiful white lights around the tree and then started to add decorations. We have a lot of different types of ornaments. Most of them are souvenirs from places we have visited. There are also some that we bought each other for Christmas in years past. Some of the ornaments are very old and have been passed down from my great grandparents. Every year my nana would buy my mom a snowflake picture frame ornament, and my mom would put my latest school photo in the frame, so there are a lot of those on the tree. On our Christmas tree there are also a lot of ornaments that I made when I was little. After the tree has all of its decorations, we set up the Christmas village underneath the tree and we are done. I think our Christmas tree turned out pretty nice this year!
