Wake up I want to play!

Several of the seal cows have returned to sea leaving the pups to fend for themselves. The pups are now big and fat and are getting their adult coats. They gather in groups and become inquisitive and friendly, coming right up to the fence and some seem to pose for the camera!
A few pups are still being born - one born this morning and a pregnant cow came ashore today and will give birth in the next couple of days. 1700 pups have been born to this seal colony this year.
A very grey day and although lots of lapwing kept taking off they do not look as good against the grey skies.
A busy day - back from Leeds this morning, Donna Nook this afternoon and a charity Christmas dinner tonight. Phew bedtime calls!
