The Ploughing Elephant in Alsenborn

Pre-Christmas party with the collegues in Alsenborn.
I got lost looking for the restaurant... the ploughing elephant was one of the marks I never saw on my way into town - but I saw it on the way home - here's proof of it!

Alsenborn has a long circus and artist tradition and was also home of the famous German soccer player Fritz Walter.

The story to the ploughing elephant? No horses in the war, but a circus elephant...
The statue is life-size and weighs 16 tons (take a daylight look - it's worth it).
