Anecdote to Evidence to Action
Spent the day with 200 others in Cutler's Hall, Sheffield (amazing space) looking at research into church growth. A little more light than heat, hence the picture, but great to see how effective lay lay leaders are (new term for me). Apparently, lay lay is none ordained & with no training. Hmmmmm. 40% of new forms of church are lay lay led.
Quotes of the day:
"Churches must retain children & young people of they are to survive"
"Decline in spiritual literacy begins in the home"
"Research shows the most effective employed people in churches are children's, youth & families workers"
