Grim Drizzle
I hate drizzle ...
At least with real rain you get wet the moment you step outside ... but not with drizzle ...
Drizzle lets you go outside with the false belief that your not going to get as wet as you would with heavier rain ...
So you go outside without a raincoat on, not realizing that you're actually going to end up wetter ...
And it gets in your eyes as well ... It doesn't take a strong wind to drive drizzle horizontal ...
And whereas real rain falls onto the road and quickly washes away all the oily muck left by motor-vehicles, or leaves left by trees, or bits of greasy grime left by whatever leaves greasy grime on the road ... drizzle just sits there, forming a slippery film on the road surface ...
And it's boring ... I don't know of any weather more boring and depressing as drizzle ...
Thunder and lightning, hail storms, strong wind and driving rain ... even snow ... might all cause problems ... but at least they're not boring ...
Drizzle doesn't even give you the benefit of letting you know it's there ... snuggled up all warm ad dry indoors and for all you know it might have stopped ...

Anyway, the point I'm trying to make, is that I hate drizzle ...

And I don't like turnips either ... :o|
