Derelict Thursday
Hubby came good again today with some derelict options. After he got back from working in Vienna he had to go to the builders shop attached to his firm´s office. He told me that nearby was the old station for the narrow gauge tourist railway line. The building itself had been renovated and is again in use but there was a lot of disused paraphernalia lying around in the railway yard. There were old undercarriages, all sorts of unidentifiable parts, switching equipment, neat stacks of old sleepers and a mountain of rusty sleeper bolts.
These derelict sleepers were laid out in rows right next to the street. They had obviously been there a long time ago as they have sunk into the ground and there were weeds growing through them. They would´t have lasted a week if this was in Australia.
Thanks SarumStroller for hosting Derelict Thursday.
