Green Stain Fungi

Drizzling all day, but went to the woods with the dog. Still some nice fungi about , but not for much longer as I think frosts are on the way. This fungi did not produce the best image of the day, but it is an interesting one. The fruit bodies as you can see are small discs about 3-4 mm across. This tiny fungus produces the green colour in wood from which Tunbridge ware is made. The coloured wood is quite common but the fruiting fungi is not often seen.
