Where it all began..

This string of pearls in inky black is one of the floodlight pylons at Ochilview, home of Stenhousemuir FC.
In November 1951 Stenhousemuir played Hibernian in a friendly, the first modern Scottish football game under floodlights (there were previous experiments in the 19th Century).
Nowadays you get football matches on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights but in Scotland at any rate it all began at humble Stenhousemuir.
Friendly Result: Stenhousemuir 2 Edinburgh City 1.
