The Jays feel the need to show me their winnings, all triumphant. Maybe it's because I haven't been giving them their usual amount of peanuts. It's because their numbers have increased and who can afford to feed a flock of 9 permanently-hungry Blue Jays? They eat more than the squirrels do!
