Wrapped Up

What a stunning morning it was today, cloudless skies and a touch of frost. I didn't realise *quite* how crisp and cold it was though until I set off to take Ted to Playschool on my bike. As you can see, he was very well wrapped up, but the poor little scrap had a streaming nose and chattering teeth by the time we got there after a 10 minute ride. I'm going to make some kind of fleecy poncho for him I think, it's ok when you're cycling yourself as you keep warmer, but it's pretty chilly when you're just sitting on the back. Still, he ran into Playschool very happily (where the thermostat felt like it was set to 'sauna') so I don't think he suffered any ill-effects!

I rode home, made coffee for the builders, then headed out for a long run. I did just over 7km in 42 mins, not a bad time considering it included a huge long hill. It was worth the climb though as the views down over the village from the top were beautiful.

A hot shower, a large mug of chai and some trashy daytime tv and I settled down with my scissors and sellotape to wrap ted's Christmas presents. I haven't bought anything for anyone else yet (oops!) but Ted seems to have done very well! It's such fun buying for him, I've been collecting bits and bobs for him since his birthday in June. I suppose we've reached the 'Christmas is for the kids' stage of life, haven't we?
